“Not a word,” Dom said as he neared his car and saw Cade leaning against it, a satisfied smirk on his face. “I’ll find someone to relieve you once I get to the office,” Dom said.
“Thought I was reassigned,” Cade drawled.
Dom bit back a smile and searched his pockets for his keys. “Just keep your eyes off his ass.”
Cade laughed, then sobered. “I’ve got someone in mind to relieve me. He’s a good guy…could use the work.”
Dom studied him for a moment, then nodded. “Fine. Have him contact Cecile to get set up.”
“Just like that?” Cade asked, almost suspicious.
“Yeah, just like that.” Dom got in his car and drove off, another smile ghosting his lips as he watched Cade standing where he’d left him. He saw his own reflection in the rearview mirror and was surprised how much lighter he looked. And the smile that lingered looked foreign. He tried to force it away, but the taste of Logan that loitered in his mouth had him remembering the moans and gasps that had come from the young man as Dom sucked him off in that tiny bathroom. When he’d first seen the bruises on Logan’s skin, he’d been horrified by his own aggressiveness, but then the look of wonder in Logan’s eyes as he’d fingered the marks had Dom instantly hard and unashamedly proud that he’d left something of himself that Logan would see and feel for days to come. Rushing through the blowjob had been a necessity since he knew if he lingered in bringing Logan his pleasure, he’d have had him bent over that sink in no time, sore ass be damned.
That image had him smiling again and before he could think better of it, he picked up his phone and dialed.
“Hi,” Logan said softly. Dom couldn’t help but be thrilled at the notion that Logan had put his number in his phone and recognized the Caller ID. Even better, whatever awkwardness was bound to be between them hadn’t stopped Logan from answering.
“Have lunch with me today,” Dom said.
A long beat of silence, then a simple, “Okay.”
“Do you know where my restaurant is?” he asked.
“Yes.”
“Noon work for you?”
“I’ll be there.”
“Bye Logan.”
“Bye Dom.”
Dom disconnected and smiled again, then forced his attention to the thickening traffic as he headed for his office.
